Looking for Lee Ming, 2009
Installation, Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts, Taipei
From a video about my attempts to find Lee Ming, the semi-fictitious stranger who had a premonition of my death in the mountains of Taiwan.
According to Lee Ming, someone with my name and complexion saved her (or him) from a band of murderers at the expense of his life. As he lay dying in her arms, he wrote his name in blood on the palm of her hand: Seth.
I traveled to Taipei to interview multiple Lee Mings and create a docudrama re-enactment of the dream.
From a residency at Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts.
